On July 12-14, 2024, Colorado musical heroes The String Cheese Incident teamed up with world-class drone show specialists Nova Sky Stories to celebrate SCI's 30th anniversary in the sky above Red Rocks Amphitheatre with the largest drone show in Colorado to date.

A mini documentary has been released from both channels providing a behind the scenes look into the collaboration.

On the occasion of Jerry Garcia's birthday, renowned musician David Grisman reflects on his late friend and musical collaborator. Grisman recalls Garcia as a uniquely talented musician, artist, and human being with a kind soul— and a great friend. Their friendship began 60 years ago at a Bill Monroe show at Sunset Park in West Grove, PA, where both traveled—Garcia, notably, from much farther—to see the Father of Bluegrass music. This meeting marked the start of a deep personal and musical relationship.

In its 21st year, the BMI Stage returns to Zilker Park for the 2024 Austin City Limits Music Festival, held Oct. 4-6 and Oct. 11-13. Yesterday, CBS Mornings aired their profile of the nationally recognized jazz education organization JAZZ HOUSE KiDS. CBS host Vladimir Duthiers spoke with Founder Melissa Walker and her husband, nine-time GRAMMY-Award winning bassist and the non-profit’s Artistic Director Christian McBride. While visiting the JAZZ HOUSE headquarters in Montclair, NJ, Duthiers also interviewed JAZZ HOUSE KiDS students Mark Ricco and Sinclair Powell about the positive impact the organization has had on their lives.

In preparation for the release of his highly anticipated new collection 8314 Boxed, celebrated solo artist and Jethro Tull frontman Ian Anderson has shared an exclusive unboxing video. Now available for viewing, the video offers fans a glimpse into the beautifully presented and meticulously curated 10LP box set that will officially be released on August 23rd through reissue specialist label Madfish.

Acclaimed singer-songwriter David Shaw has shared his intensely personal new single, “Take A Look Inside,” available today via his own Yokoko Records. A meditation on past traumas and a beacon of love, hope, and positivity going forward, the track is accompanied by an animated official music video, directed by Texas-based graphic and motion designer Andrew Knives, premiering today at YouTube.

Jon Barber of The Disco Biscuits will join forces with Ben Atkind of Elephantproof (formerly Goose) to perform on August 3 at Bearsville Theater in Woodstock. The evening will kick off with a set by Capital Region’s own SM INK.  

“I’m excited to collaborate with Ben again. Our Brooklyn show was very well received, and I think we’ll deliver an even stronger performance now that we’ve got a show under our belts,” Barber said, referencing the duo’s June 1 performance at Future City Lounge.

The Headhunters are set to release their new studio album, The Stunt Man, on Ropeadope Records on October 11, 2024. The album was recorded in August 2023 at the legendary Hyde Street Studios in San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood. Featuring seven tracks, the album showcases the genre-bending repertoire of this 50-year-old ensemble, co-led by original members Bill Summers on percussion and Mike Clark on drums.

"Believe it or not this album was recorded during the pandemic in 2020 and unlike any other Consider The Source album, it was the first time we ever collaborated with a producer.

Today, singer-songwriter, producer and SUSTO co-founder Johnny Delaware has announced his third studio album Para Llevar, due out November 1 via Normaltown Records / New West Records. Recorded in studios across Latin America and the United States, Para Llevar (which translates to “to go” or “to take”) is a deeply personal exploration of human nature through the eyes of a nomadic observer.
