G. Love and Special Sauce rocked the house to the rafters Saturday night in Chicago. The nearly sold out show was energetic and fun. The power trio of G. Love: guitar / harmonica / vocals, Jeffrey Clemens: drums and Jimi Jazz Prescott: bass. were not stop and had the crowd worked up into a frenzy. Their sound eludes any simple category as they are a lively mash of alternative hip hop with high energy blues. In the sprit of the evening the opening act Ripe's guitarist Tory Geismar joined the power trio for a bluesy number early in the set. Never disappointing G. Love works the crowd while the music takes everyone over in a frenzy.
