Pink Talking Fish is bringing their live fusion of Pink Floyd, The Talking Heads and Phish to Colorado in the form of a very special concept show. The band will perform the beloved Phish rock opera GAMEHENDGE in its entirety while intertwining Pink Floyd and Talking Heads songs throughout the piece. This concept debuted to rave reviews during a sold out Halloween performance in Boston MA. The band felt that bringing the Gamehendge concept to Colorado would be perfect based on the adventurous spirit of the state’s music scene.
This year Robert Nesta "Bob" Marley would be turning 71 years old. To commemorate the music legend, Wake Up And Live will perform for three nights, their tribute versions of our favorite Bob Marley songs. WUAL will hold performances in Colorado Springs at the Gold Room, in Fort Collins at the Aggie Theater and at Cervantes Other Side for the grand finale on Saturday. Shows at The Aggie and Cervantes will include additional performances by local and regional reggae acts.
Looking back over the past 25 years of rootsy, string-based music, the impact of Leftover Salmon is impossible to deny. Formed in Boulder at the end of 1989, the Colorado slamgrass pioneers took their form of aggressive bluegrass to rock and roll bars at a time when it wasn’t so common, helping Salmon become a pillar of the jam band scene and unwitting architects of the jamgrass genre.

Fruition rambled through the Front Range, high on the November 9th release of the new EP, Holehearted Fools. The Portland Americana quintet performed 4 of the new 5 song EP recorded with Colorado friends, Grant Farm. Fruition is Jay Cobb Anderson (Lead Vocals, Acoustic Guitar), Kellen Asebroek (Piano, Vocals), Mimi Naja (Mandolin, Guitar, Vocals), Keith Simon (Electric Bass), and Tyler Thompson (Banjo, Stomp Box, Drums).
Colorado’s own, CORAL CREEK announces the release of a new, self-titled album slated for October 14, 2015. CORAL CREEK will support the new album with a Fall tour. This will be the first album by the Colorado-based Americana/Jamgrass band with keyboard player Bill McKay (Leftover Salmon, Derek Trucks Band).
The Asheville-based soulful Folk/World troubadours Rising Appalachia have just added an impromptu performance date on their month-long Big Skies September tour. The date, to take place at The Aggie Theater in Ft. Collins on September 22nd, is a welcoming event intended to introduce the new owners of the venue to the local community.
