The pioneer of Roots Reggae music and legend Clinton Fearon is due to release a new song this February. The reggae icon looks toward love with his newest single “Guiding Star” due out on Naya Records. Reflecting back on the new single Clinton comments, “I love how the simplicity of the riddim carries the emotions all along the song, it brings back a lot of memories to heart and soul. I'm happy how the song turned out.”
 

For a band named Birds of Play, it’s no surprise that avian references abound in their work. Hence the title of their new album, Murmurations Vol. 2, releasing Feb. 25 as the follow-up to their September 2021 album, Murmurations Vol. 1. The band will celebrate the release date with a hometown performance at the Sheridan Opera House, 110 N. Oak St. in Telluride. Showtime is 9 p.m. Reserved balcony tickets are $30; general-admission floor tickets are $20 (plus a $5 ticketing fee for each).

WHO: Mary Wilson’s daughter, Turkessa Babich, will share stories of her mother Mary Wilson. Claudette Robinson, an original member of The Miracles (the first act to sign with Motown) has known Wilson since her first days at Motown. GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter Becca Stevens and GRAMMY Award-winning Attacca Quartet announced their collaborative album Becca Stevens | Attacca Quartet, out April 22nd via GroundUP Music. Nearly a decade ago, Stevens was approached to reimagine a selection of her songs with string arrangements for a performance at San Diego’s Mainly Mozart Festival.

Today, the internationally acclaimed Irish performer, Pierce Turner, releases his 15th album entitled Terrible Good via StorySound Records. The record was created with legendary guitarist Gerry Leonard (David Bowie, Suzanne Vega, Rufus Wainwright). Both Irish expats who’ve made home in New York City, the two set out to create an Irish rock album with a New York attitude.

Decades long fixture in the Seattle music community, folk singer/songwriter Jim Page is releasing The Time Is Now April 16th, 2022. Featuring 11 lilting, American folk roots tracks sprinkled with saxophone, lap steel guitars, and lush backing vocals from Seattle’s J.R. Rhodes, The Time Is Now is Jim’s 24th album of original music.

The Seattle based 7-piece band “The Dip” will release their third full-length album, titled Sticking With It, on March 4. The eleven track album is the band’s first project with their new label, Dualtone Records, and was recorded entirely at their self-made home studio in Seattle.

Kristin Scott Benson (five-time IBMA Banjo Player of the Year, recipient of the Steve Martin Award for Excellence in Bluegrass and Banjo and member of the GRAMMY-nominated Mountain Home artist The Grascals) and her husband, award-winning mandolinist Wayne Benson (25-year veteran of the seven-time IBMA Vocal Group of the Year, Russell Moore and IIIrd Tyme Out) have signed with Mountain Home for their first joint creative endeavor, a duo simply named Benson.

Following the 2021 release of their sixth full-length album Dedicated, 2CELLOS today debut DEDICATED (EXTENDED EDITION), featuring three brand new bonus tracks, via Sony Music Masterworks. Celebrating the group’s momentous 10-year-anniversary, Dedicated has now been reissued with three new covers that find the duo of Luka Šulić and HAUSER once again showcasing their signature boundary-breaking playing style.
