Jazz pianist/composer Nicholas Bridgman made the best of the coronavirus restrictions by connecting with a band on the online jamming site, Jamkazam. While unable to perform live locally, Bridgman met guitarist Craig Hall, bassist Dan Koloski, and drummer Jim O'Sullivan in various virtual jam sessions. Their playing appealed and they all showed interest in devoting over a year to recording tracks from their home studios around the U.S.

Brian Macdonald, of the multi-Platinum band Judah & the Lion, has announced a new solo project under the moniker Victor Mucho. Due out May 13, 2022, his debut album, Moonlight in Visby, was written and recorded while living on the remote island of Gotland, Sweden in the Baltic Sea. It pays homage to the tiny, rural town Macdonald, his wife Maddie, and their dog Halyard called home during a year of seclusion and reflection.

After a true breakout 2021, Charley Crockett has announced a month-long coast-to-coast headlining tour leading up to his return to the Stagecoach Festival in Indio, CA on April 29th. Crockett released two albums in 2021 - 10 For Slim: Charley Crockett Sings James Hand and Music City USA - and had across the board success. Crockett won “Emerging Act of the Year” at the 2021 Americana Honors & Awards and made his Austin City Limits TV debut a month later.

Acclaimed singer-songwriter, environmental activist and former U.S. Congressman John Hall announced today the release of a new video for his song “Save the Monarch,” which features renowned folk music artist Dar Williams. The four-and-a half minute long video is available on Hall’s website and YouTube.

Canada’s multi-award winning beacon of the blues Kenny ‘Blues Boss” Wayne has prepared his Hall of Fame talents for takeoff with the announcement of his new album, Blues From Chicago to Paris: A Tribute to Memphis Slim and Willie Dixon — available March 4th via Stony Plain Records.

Sydney-based roots reggae and dub act, Black Bird Hum, will release "World Keeps Spinning," their second single on Color Red on January 21st, 2022. The track is accompanied by a b-side dub by engineer and longtime friend of the band, Ryan Gambrell, in a digital 45 release. The band also collaborated with collage artist Curtis Bergesen (Collage the World) who created a paper collage used for the release artwork.
