As fans eagerly rushed into Golden Gate Park for the second day of Outside Lands, anticipation was at its peak. With the fog beginning to fade as the music started, the stage was set to prove that San Francisco’s music community is still alive and well. Even the recent change of headliners in the weeks leading up to the festival couldn’t dampen spirits, as the audience crowded the barricades from the moment the gates opened and packed the venue well into the night.

With aspirations to become the undisputed torchbearers of modern psychedelic funk, the Colombian trio BALTHVS has emerged in recent years with an unparalleled and consistent string of musical releases, seizing every opportunity to showcase their passion and talent in every note. Known for their expansive, free-flowing style and soulfully gripping hooks, the band has been selling out venues worldwide on their latest tour.

After selling out several shows on its N.A. and European tour, including its very first L.A. show at the tastemaker venue the Lodge Room in Highland Park, BALTHVS has quickly gained a passionate audience following. As the rise of psychedelic music popularity gains steam, BALTHVS is at the forefront, with a fusion of surf rock and middle eastern melodies laid over the cumbia from their hometown of Bogota, Colombia.  
 

The Colombian-based trio, BALTHVS, most known for their eclectic, psychedelic funk sound is excited to announce their first release of 2024, "Mango Season" on Mixto Records. "Mango Season" is a laid back, funky and soulful instrumental groove that is perfect for relaxing, skateboarding and looking at clouds. It's very much in the vein of other instrumental artists such as Tommy Guerrero, OfftheWally and Orion's Belte.
