Beacon Theatre

Following the recent announcement of their ambitious new 4-album studio and film project, I Am The Moon, Tedeschi Trucks Band has unveiled the dates for their highly-anticipated annual return to New York’s Beacon Theatre this fall.  The 12-piece, rock and soul collective led by singer-guitarist Susan Tedeschi and guitarist Derek Trucks will play seven nights in New York City - September 29 & 30; October 1, 3, 6, 7, and 8.

But wait, there’s more.

Little Feat exploded out of its Covid hiatus with a fan-favorite “By Request Tour,” then began their tribute to the legendary live recording Waiting for Columbus, playing the song suite at every show.  It culminated in two recent shows in Nashville shot for PBS that featured multiple guests; the show will broadcast later this year.

Widespread Panic has postponed their Beacon Theatre run for the second time based on complications from COVID-19. The new dates are July 21-25, 2022, and were originally scheduled for January 13-17, 2022. Tickets for the rescheduled dates are available here.

The band shared the following message via their website:

Renowned quartet Gov’t Mule, who will release their first-ever blues album, Heavy Load Blues, on November 12th, has announced the return of their annual New Year’s run of shows.

Tedeschi Trucks Band returns to the Beacon Theatre in New York City for their annual multiple-night residency. Proudly proclaiming, “We’re Back,” these will feature the full, reunited 12-piece band including new drummer Isaac Eady. Concerts take place on September 30, October 1, 2, 5, 6, 8, and 9.

The lights fell and alone on stage stood Big Red, Trey Anastasio, looking as Dad-like as ever. His big goofy smile sent waves of love, comfort, and release to the sold-out crowd in Manhattan, at the Beacon Theater. As Trey opened the show with a solo "Theme from the Bottom", the audience was sent into a feeling of happiness and familiarity, returning to concerts indoors, a pre-covid relish.

Opening night in New York City is always a special evening. The energy, buzz and all-around excitement is a contagious feeling as any. None however quite like the first night back after a year and couple months of a pandemic which kept all of us away from our families, friends and live music.

Today, Tedeschi Trucks Band announces the return of their Beacon Theatre residency. Proudly proclaiming, "We're Back," these will be some of the first performances featuring the full, reunited 12-piece band since February of 2020.
