After a hugely successful year, Bob Marley 75 continues into 2021 with several birthday celebrations leading up to Marley's 76th Birthday on February 6, including a global virtual birthday celebration hosted by Cedella Marley, Songs of Freedom: The Island Years on 6LP or 3CD, and a Bob Marley Tribute Livestream by Stephen Marley. 

As the year's celebrations commemorating the legendary Bob Marley's 75th birthday continue, yet more incredible collector edition items and activations have been announced and released for December and January 2021.

Today, episode seven of Bob Marley's Legacy documentary series continues with "Freedom Fighter," a powerful new short featuring insight and interviews from some of the world's most respected artists, writers, activists, and filmmakers, each offering their own take on Bob's music, his message, and his unique power at uniting and articulating the long and painful journey from oppression and the struggles his brothers and sisters have endured over the years.

Today, UMe and Tuff Gong announce three new and exclusive limited-edition collector series coming later this year. On December 11, twelve limited-edition Bob Marley vinyl LP's, each numbered and pressed exclusively at the legendary Tuff Gong International headquarters in Kingston, Jamaica, will be available, featuring nine original studio albums and two original live albums, plus the world's best-selling reggae album, Legend, all including a highly-desirable Tuff Gong stamp.

School of Rock's "AllStars" program partnered with Skip Marley to cover Bob Marley's anthem "Three Little Birds." It comes at a time when the world needs the reminder the most, that "...every little thing gonna be alright." The collaboration highlights the inspirational message of Bob's music combined with the hopes of the new generation - including Bob's own grandson, Skip. 

Episode five of Bob Marley's Legacy documentary series continues with 'Punky Reggae Party,' an insightful look back at Bob's time in and impact on London and the rest of the United Kingdom. Dating back from the mid-'70s to this present day, 'Punky Reggae Party' explores how Bob's music and ethos captured the Zeitgeist, detailing his signing to Chris Blackwell's Island Records, and the welcomed arrival of his sound and the impact he had in the United Kingdom, especially the London-born children of the Windrush generation.

In honor of Women’s History Month, the Bob Marley: Legacy mini-documentary series continues with episode two: ‘Women Rising’ The moving and empowering short premiered today on Bob Marley’s official YouTube channel and features interviews with Rita Marley, also known as Bob Marley’s wife and the matriarch of the Marley Family, whose strength and character is an inspiration for people around the world.

We all knew we were in for a treat, as we’d be welcoming to the stage Aston Barrett Jr., son of Aston “Family Man” Barrett and nephew to the late Carlton Barrett, in whose honor he plays the drums.
