Dark Star Orchestra

Dark Star Orchestra, the premier Grateful Dead tribute band, has announced their highly anticipated fall tour, culminating in the much-loved ‘Cosmic New Year’s Run.’ This tour is set to be a highlight for jam band enthusiasts and Grateful Dead fans, featuring a series of shows that embody the spirit of the Dead with DSO’s unique interpretations and energy.

The music plays the band! Dark Star Orchestra and Borderland Festival announce that DSO will perform the famous Grateful Dead 5/9/77 show at the Memorial Auditorium in Buffalo, NY, on Sunday, September 15, during the three-day festival in East Aurora, NY. Dark Star Orchestra will make their Borderland debut, paying tribute to the epic upstate Grateful Dead tour stop from the Spring ‘77 run, which also featured the revered Barton Hall show at Cornell.

On a memorable Saturday night in Berkeley, Dark Star Orchestra brought the spirit of the Grateful Dead back to life at the Greek Theatre, recreating the historic Dead show from July 13, 1984—exactly 40 years later and at the same venue. The evening was a feast for the senses, blending nostalgia with vibrant performances.

Mr. Hat Presents a DSO afterparty at the eclectic Art House Gallery & Cultural Center with DJ Darkstar Dan! Come on down to 2905 Shattuck after the Greek and dance to the Dead til the wee hours. Its a "potluck" dance party, all ages welcome.

Join the fun THIS WEEKEND as we dance the night away with Dark Star Orchestra and Melvin Seals and JGB and honor Rex Foundation's 40 years of community, connection, and $10 million in grant-making!

Dark Star Orchestra, the ultimate Grateful Dead experience, spent a little time on the mountain last night. The hills were alive with the sweet sounds of the Grateful Dead’s music at the majestic Mishawaka Amphitheatre. The band's triumphant return to the Poudre Canyon coincided with our nation's birthday, and believe me, it was the place to be.
