I’ve mentioned a number of times how musically-diverse I find Charlottesville, Virginia to be.. On any given nite, one may find a large variety of live music available..

Phish has just announced their 2012 summer tour dates.  Phish will start their tour in Worcester, MA on June 17th -- ending up in Saratoga Springs for a 3 night run at SPAC.

Highlights include: Deek Creek, Alpine Valley, Cuyahoga Falls, OH and a 4th of July show at Jones Beach. You will find the entire tour dates, prices, etc.

The snow was dumping in Boulder on one of the coldest nights of the year as die hards piled into the Fox Theatre to see the Disco Biscuits' side projects: Dr. Fameus and Conspirator.

The night is young around midnight; the music loud, beads and balloons reflect the Mardi Gras aura at Fox Theatre with WhiteWater Ramble. The show, much like their music, is unpredictable to say the least. The evening consists of staple WhiteWater tunes, a few Mardi Gras classics, an always-packed stage of welcome accompaniments, and a crowd as wild as the performers.

Opening up the show, the band Onward, Soldiers, fresh off recording their sophomore LP, Monsters, started us off with a tight performance that sourced heavily from their new album.  Rapidly collecting fans and critical attention, this young band from North Carolina gave concertgoers reason to jump on the bandwagon.  According to lead singer Sean Thomas Gerard, “We’ve been a band for three years, but only two years with the current members.”  Despite that fact,

By the fall of 1994, the Grateful Dead scene was growing unmanageably large. Even large mainstay venues that the boys have been performing at for decades were too small anymore. The performance that used to be a not-so-well-kept secret had grown to sell out the largest football and soccer stadiums.

On such an amazing weekend of music around Boulder, Colorado, there were many tough decisions to make regarding what to see this weekend. The decision to see moe. at the Boulder Theater was an easy one. They always kill it, and the Boulder Theater is the perfect venue for them to play.
