This year's Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival (“HSBG”) in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park was—as usual, and as expected—a joyous and magical celebration for young and old, family and friends, musicians and music fans.

In dreams the lake whispered, in waking the lake called out psychically - but then also on the phone. Desert Daze is returning to Lake Perris, CA for a weekend of concerts from November 12 - 14, 2021. Headlining this year’s event is The War on Drugs performing their only 2021 show, Kamasi Washington, Toro y Moi and Japanese Breakfast.

Today, Devendra Banhart released an Amazon Original cover of The Dead’s "Franklin’s Tower," available to stream and purchase only on Amazon Music. Banhart’s cover is released in honor of the 45th anniversary of Grateful Dead’s Blues for Allah. The song was produced and mixed by Noah Georgeson (Joanna Newsom, Marlon Williams) and recorded with his current touring band consisting of Nicole Lawrence (guitar), Jeremy Harris (synths), Gregory Rogove (drums and percussion).
