Blues-rock band Ghost Hounds have been announced as one of the special support bands on The Rolling Stones’ North American ‘No Filter’ tour. This five-date run will mark Ghost Hounds’ second support tour with The Stones, as they also opened for their record breaking tour in 2019. Kicking off their run with The Stones on September 30th in Charlotte, NC, the tour will see Ghost Hounds playing shows across the country before capping it off on October 29th in Tampa, FL.
Today, Ghost Hounds released the accompanying video for their newest single, “Between Me and the Devil,” via Maple House Records. Directed by Jay Arcansalin, the visual emulates the legend of Robert Johnson, in which Johnson makes a deal with the devil in trading his soul for mastery of the guitar. Similarly, we watch as lead singer, Tre’ Nation, makes a deal with a record label in trading his soul for a successful music career.
Ghost Hounds is a rock ‘n’ roll band at a time when the world needs more of them. The band’s new album recalls the universal appeal of rock’s ‘70s heyday, but with a fresh, crackling energy crafted by Tull, and voiced with fluid power by vocalist Tre’ Nation. The band’s gritty sound reflects the blue-collar heritage of its hometown of Pittsburgh; a versatile outfit whose music fits in an Iron City barroom or a stadium — such as the one in Maryland where Ghost Hounds opened for the Rolling Stones in July.
