Grammy-nominated band Hiss Golden Messenger has announced the release of their highly anticipated new album Jump for Joy (Merge Records) on August 25th. The group has also announced an extensive fall tour of the U.S. in support of Jump For Joy (see list of dates below). Today, Sound Mind Live announces its fifth annual Sound Mind Music Festival for Mental Health, presented this year as a free, all day street festival between Irving Ave and Wyckoff Ave in Bushwick, Brooklyn on Saturday, May 20th. North Carolina-based singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Chessa Rich releases “Julia” from the forthcoming album Deeper Sleeper, out April 7 via Sleepy Cat Records. Featuring Alex Bingham of Hiss Golden Messenger on bass and synths and Joseph Terrell of Mipso on background vocals, “Julia” is a treatise on the creative process, paying homage to the titular Julia Cameron and her 1992 book The Artist’s Way.
