Holly Bowling

Mood and muse, two inexplicably intertwined elements of an ethereal nature, yet their power to move both body and mind know no bounds.  Flowing throughout the in-between like gravity and wind, these forces are foundational and creative to the many worlds that arise out of the relationship of things, out of the happenings originated by togetherness; a place born betwixt seed and light, lung and tree, heart and rhythm, a place where all things come together to form each thing (each moment) throughout all size and time.  And where all things come together—so too, does mood and muse.<

There’s only one first time!  And tonight’s the night.  Grateful Web is thrilled to present, Ghost Light, at the Fox Theatre, Boulder, Colorado, Friday, May 11th.  Join us for this fabulous event, as two of today’s hottest musicians team up with one of the best venues in the country for a quintessential exploratory musical experience.

Guitarist Tom Hamilton (Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Ghost Light) and pianist Holly Bowling (Ghost Light) will delve into the legendary catalogue of the Grateful Dead at Port Chester’s The Capitol Theatre on Friday, June 1. Ushering in a new level of intimacy, Hamilton and Bowling will utilize acoustic instruments to explore the vast realms of the Dead’s music.

Ghost Light is a true musical collaboration; five personalities, five perspectives, and five unique approaches towards one common sound.

Who is Holly Bowling? No better time to find out than the present, as Holly brings her piano to Colorado this week with shows at The Music Room, January 31st in Colorado Springs, The Bluebird Theatre, February 1st in Denver, and The District Theatre in Aspen February 2nd.

Just a couple of weeks into 2018, Terrapin Crossroads in San Rafael, California, hosted its first House Party of the year with legendary proprietor Phil Lesh and his Terrapin Family Band performing three sets, each with its own guest guitarist, in the intimate bar/restaurant.

We are very excited to be live-streaming Warren Haynes' Christmas Jam! If you were unable to get tickets you can still support Christmas Jam by ordering a live SD or HD webcast and watching the show from the comfort of your home.

A few thousand music-loving adventure-seekers on September 9 received quite the idyllic sun-splashed reward when they witnessed this year’s Sound Summit, headlined by Phil Lesh and some extra special “friends.” The eight-hour festival-like show, chock full of five performers plus an avant-garde dance ensemble, took place at a perch high above Marin County, California’s Mill Valley, at a hundred-year-old stone amphitheater near the top of the area’s famed Mt. Tamalpais.

Holly Bowling's latest release from Royal Potato Family titled 'Better Left Unsung' is a collection of classical solo piano improvisations and arrangements of the music of The Grateful Dead.

Bowling possesses a devotion to improvisational rock music and the vision to painstakingly transcribe “jam” masterworks note-for-note, arranging them for solo piano and improvising upon what was already written.

Holly Bowling has added dates to her winter tour in support of new release, Better Left Unsung, out now on Royal Potato Family. The tour will extend into March, with RaleighPittsburgh, Burlington, Cambridge and Philadelphia joining the mix, among others. See below for a full list of upcoming dates.
