Guitarist Marcus Rezak continues to feed off of the momentum of his third album release, Guitar Head by recently added to his eminent list of sit-ins and collaborations performing with revered GRAMMY-award-winning blues-rock act Blues Traveler at The Rialto Square Theatre in Joliet, IL on “Mulling it Over” off of the band’s self-titled debut record.

Vail, Colorado-based rock band Brothers Keeper enlists John Popper of Blues Traveler to guest on harmonica in “He Left You.” The track is inspired by straight-up 70s rock n roll in a similar vein as The Faces in its gritty yet precise, attitude-driven proclamation. Lyrically, the song speaks about an indictment on relationships by someone who is proverbially throwing rocks at a glass house.

For the 26th time in 28 years, Blues Traveler returned to Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Sunday for their annual Independence Day celebration. Although it was the Fourth of July, the band and crowd celebrated freedom on a number of levels outside of the national holiday, including freedom from COVID, from masks, from isolation.
