Sweetwater Music Hall, the iconic live music venue and 501(c)(3) non-profit arts organization, has announced an exciting lineup of upcoming events. Established in 1972, Sweetwater Music Hall has been a cornerstone of the Bay Area music scene, presenting a diverse range of genres in an intimate setting that unites artists and audiences of all ages.

Jerry Garcia's impact on bluegrass music will be on full display for the next two years at the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame in Owensboro, Kentucky. The exhibit, called Jerry Garcia: A Bluegrass Journey, opened on March 28, 2024, with a historic weekend of music, panel discussions, documentary screenings, and other festivities honoring the late Garcia's career.

The Bay Area was awash with live music during the final days of 2023. During the week leading up to and including New Year’s Eve, live music fans in the region could choose The String Cheese Incident, LCD Soundsystem, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Les Claypool’s Bastard Jazz, Jerry Harrison and Adrian Belew’s “Remain in Light” Talking Heads tribute, Charlie Musselwhite, and Jerry’s Middle Finger, among others. And of course, some folks stayed home to stream Phish.

Today, six decades after his first release, folk legend Jim Kweskin announces his new album Never Too Late, out January 26th through StorySound Records. The album features captivating duets with some of his favorite female singers, while simultaneously spotlighting the genre- and generation-hopping nature of Kweskin’s musical interests.

This Friday September 8th at 8:00 PM, join music lovers from across the Long Island for a special performance by Maria Muldaur at My Father’s Place, located inside The Metropolitan in Glen Cove, 3 Pratt Blvd, Glen Cove, NY 11542, USA
