Phish

Well, the fourth annual 10K Festival is under our belts now, with a Saturday line up that equaled Thursdays and Fridays. Keller Williams show was so packed they had to turn people away, and Trey's show was awesome with no Phish music in sight. (Phil in fact did not stay around to jam indecently.) He played some new stuff, a couple off his solo album, closed out the show with a couple of covers, Won't Get Fooled Again by the Who and Get Back from the Beatles. I queried a lot of people over the three days I was there, and everyone said the same thing - it was just a great festival.

Phil Lesh and Friends plus Trey & Mike played the Tweeter Center in Mansfield, MA last night.  Here are some photos from the show.

Thanks to the powers that be for the photo pass to last night's show.

hope you enjoy!

The 4th Annual 10,000 Lakes Festival (10KLF) will serve as the tour-ending destination for headliners Phil Lesh & Friends and Trey Anastasio, and a springboard for four nights of music, camping, and relaxation with over forty artists scheduled to perform July 19-22 at the Soo Pass Ranch in Detroit Lakes, MN.

The 4th Annual 10,000 Lakes Festival (10KLF) will open its gates July 19-22, 2006 at the scenic Soo Pass Ranch in Detroit Lakes, MN for four special days of live musical performances and campout experiences in the Minnesota North Woods.

The Fillmore in Denver has seen Trey Anastasio with four different bands in the past years. In '99 he arrived with Tony Markelis and Russ Lawton as his inaugural solo project.

Is there a better place to 'see music' than Red Rocks? With it's surreal, natural appeal and rock history ridden presence, it is no wonder why Trey Anastasio still gets excited to play Colorado's favorite venue.

Trey Anastasio played Jones Beach in Long Island. Here's a few pictures from the show. We'll get more up in the next few days.

In light of the upcoming Fourth of July I would like to invite all readers to comment with your ideas of what constitutes American Music.  We could get a very nice discussion going regarding bands, styles, influences, allusions, imagery, intent, and anything else that might come up about what American Music is, was, means and does.

The 10,000 Lakes Festival is proud to announce the complete list of performers for its third annual event, scheduled for July 21-24 at the scenic Soo Pass Ranch in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. In addition to two nights of festival headliners Widespread Panic and former Phish guitarist/front man Trey Anastasio, the event features over two dozen other artists performing in a wide range of musical styles.
