Robert Walter

Robert Walter's 20th Congress have announced the release of their new studio album, 'Spacesuit,' due September 21 via Royal Potato Family. The organ master/keyboard virtuoso—who's also a founding member of The Greyboy Allstars and tours with Phish bassist Mike Gordon—has assembled a new crew of brilliant improvisers and genre-bending virtuosos under the 20th Congress mantle.

Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe have added eight additional dates in Spring 2018. The hard-touring funk juggernaut will play four more “Eat A Bunch Of Peaches” shows—their highly regarded celebration of The Allman Brothers Band—throughout the Southeast in mid-April.

There is unquestionably an art to the super jam. It can’t just be a bunch of talented musicians thrown onto one stage with a few hours of rehearsal, then go! There has to be context if not history, empathy between the players, and of course chemistry. Often times musicians of the same craft will have such different approaches that the live performance result is far from copacetic. One city that harbors an authentic understanding of musical collaboration is New Orleans.

Robert Walter's 20th Congress have announced the first leg of U.S. tour dates to support their new album, Get Thy Bearings, available June 25 from The Royal Potato Family. The tour hits Colorado for five nights in August before heading to the West Coast in September for eight shows running from Los Angeles to Seattle.

On the last Saturday of Jazz Fest, the late night grids displayed a smorgasbord of concert choices all over town.

The veteran cast, all-star group of talent called the Greyboy Allstars is back on the road in support of their newest album entitled, Inland Emperor, which the tour is aptly named after. They started it all off with this two night run at Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom, which is one of my favorite indoor venues in Colorado. The opening band was the New Orleans funk powerhouse Dumpstaphunk.

Z2 Entertainment is proud to present Robert Walter's 20th Congress at the Fox Theatre on Saturday, August 17th, 2013.  Tickets will go on sale to the public on Friday, April 12th at 12:00pm for $15.00.Robert Walter performs all his own stunts. Robert Walter performs all his own stunts. For 20 years, the San Diego native has been pulling drawbars and pushing the limits of the Hammond B3 organ. As a founding member of the Greyboy Allstars, he helped usher in the funk-jazz renaissance of the early '90s and has continued to keep one hand comping chords in the instrument's funky past, while the other explores ever-new melodic terrain.
