The Newport Jazz Festival just announced that tickets will go on sale and the lineup will drop for the 2024 festival (August 2-4) on April 9th at 1PM Eastern, which has this East Coast mama reminiscing of all my favorite moments from last year! After having finally experienced the longest-running jazz festival in the country last year, it quickly made its way to the top of my ever-expanding list of favorite summer fests.

The 7 Day Weekend duo are back with the single “Show and Tell” featuring Nephrok! The new song is the first release from their upcoming album Dream Fantastic and is due out with High Wire Records (https://www.vintageleaguemusic.com/high-wire-records).

This past weekend, Grammy award winning guitarist Eric Krasno set out on a coast-to-coast, two-week tour to promote his latest creation Always. Released on February 4th, this second solo endeavor is packed full of the quality compositions and visceral voyages that Krasno is recognized for in the studio as well as the live setting.

The idea of “losing yourself” may seem negative, but to Grammy-award winning guitarist Eric Krasno, the phrase has a deeper meaning. “It’s about losing your ego when you find someone who works for you,” he explains.

On his fourth full-length solo album, ‘Always,’ songwriter-producer Eric Krasno celebrates the permanence of family, in a time when the world seems especially unstable. The album’s third single, “Alone Together,” released today, is about the beauty that can be created between two people in solitude. “You and I, alone together now,” Krasno sings. “I didn’t know we could create something divine an innocent in a time so cold.”

On “Silence,” the new single from songwriter-producer Eric Krasno’s forthcoming solo album ‘Always’ (2/4, Mascot Label Group), Krasno explores the emotional havoc that a lack of communication can wreak on the human psyche. “Silence is a song I wrote a number of years ago about the torture of not knowing,” he explains.

It’s been a LONG time coming…

Out on all major digital music outlets January 15th, 2021, Organ Fairchild's Seepin’ is a song almost forty years in the making.

The single, mastered by Alan Evans of Soulive, marks the very first original music output from three long-time veterans of the jam band scene.

Last week, Alan Evans' latest musical project, Crushed Velvet and the Velveteers released a powerful new single via Vintage League Music, "As Far As We Know," featuring the vocal stylings of D.C.-based musician, Brother GoodLove, as well as a cast of VLM-affiliated artists including, pianist Darby Wolf, Alex Lee-Clark and Brian Thomas of BT ALC Big Band, baritone guitarist Ryan Hommel, and string player Cynthia Tolson.

An upbeat fusion of soul and funk, featuring live instrumentation, is on full display in Crushed Velvet and the Velveteers' new single, "Good Thang." Founded by multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, sound engineer and producer, Alan Evans—who is also the co-founder of acclaimed jazz fusion trio, Soulive—Crushed Velvet and the Velveteers the self-proclaimed guitar player "alter ego" for Evans.

Alan Evans' label, Vintage League Music, shares the latest single from BT ALC Big Band, marking the group's first release on the imprint, with a full album promised later this year. With 18 musicians credited to the track, "Bring Forth Change" was amazingly captured completely remotely in the midst of the current global pandemic.
