Tribal Seeds
As fans poured into the Monterey Fairgrounds for the second day of Cali Roots, the clouds in the sky had parted from the night before, leaving only the ones closer to the ground fans had made themselves. The warm weather set the tone for the day to come as day two would celebrate the genre’s history and feature both its newest and tenured performers.
The 2nd annual Mission Bayfest will be taking place for two days on Friday September 29th and Saturday, September 30th, 2023 off the shores of Mission Bay at Mariners Point Park in San Diego. This is the first music festival of its kind dedicated to Mission Bay Park; the largest man-made aquatic park in the United States. With over 7,000 attendees at their previous edition of San Diego Bayfest, the Mission Bayfest team brings an all-new festival to San Diego with a next-level lineup of reggae tastemakers.
Hopping into a tenured band as the newest member can be an intimidating task in any capacity, much less the frontman, but for Jamaica's Hector Roots Lewis, stepping up and filling in as lead vocals for Southern California reggae veterans Tribal Seeds came instinctually.
Hector Roots Lewis is thrilled to announce that he will join the award-winning Reggae Band, Tribal Seeds, as their Lead Vocalist for their 2022 Summer Tour throughout the United States. This announcement follows an update from the band’s Lead Singer, Steven Jacobo, who announced that he has taken a hiatus from live performances. “The band will continue to perform live without me and I will continue to write and record songs for Tribal Seeds” he penned.
The 3rd Annual San Diego Bayfest will be taking place on Saturday, July 9th, 2022 at the scenic Waterfront Park downtown. With doors opening at 12pm, fans will be met with high energy musical performances accompanied by local food vendors, as well as bartenders pouring an assortment of Craft Beers & Cocktails.
California Roots is excited to announce the newest edition to the Cali Roots family: Cali Roots: Baja Sessions! The newly formed getaway brings the best parts of Cali Roots to a destination beach resort to create the ultimate experience. Baja Sessions will take place November 3-7, 2021.
This summer, Slightly Stoopid will bring along special guests Matisyahu, Tribal Seeds and HIRIE. 2019’s North American route will take the band on 28 stops from California’s Pacific Ocean across the Atlantic seaboard, with additional dates to be announced including stops in Europe.
