Irish bluegrass band JigJam was part of an electric weekend at the 36th annual MerleFest, performing an energetic set to a vibrant crowd Saturday night. The festival, held in Wilkesboro, North Carolina, drew in more than 80,000 fans.

Joining JigJam were other acclaimed performers such as Old Crow Medicine Show, known for their hit 'Wagon Wheel,' the Turnpike Troubadours, Nickel Creek, the Teskey Brothers, Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, Brandy Clark, and many more.

The band is pictured above alongside Lukas Nelson, son of legendary musician Willie Nelson, who also graced the festival stage with his band, Promise of the Real. Nelson gained recognition for his involvement in the hit movie 'A Star is Born,' starring Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. Nelson not only appeared in the film but also wrote much of its acclaimed music.

JigJam's Merlefest set included favorites from the band’s new album ACROSS THE POND, which debuted March 1. The 11-track collection released to acclaim, landing on must-listen lists from Entertainment Tonight and No Depression. American Songwriter said listening to the album is "like stepping back in time and hearing the roots of American ‘grass."

JigJam has added dates to their “ACROSS THE POND US Tour,” following multiple sold-out stops across the country. See upcoming tour dates here: https://www.jigjam.ie/tour/.
