Legendary “Godfather of British Blues” John Mayall’s name was called when The Blues Foundation announced today (2/17) its list of performers, music, literature and individuals who will be inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in Memphis on May 4. Other performers joining John Mayall in the 2016 Class of Inductees include Elvin Bishop, Eddy Clearwater, Jimmy Johnson and The Memphis Jug Band.

Easy Star All-Stars have announced their 2016 spring tour: kicking things off with their annual 420 show at The Highline Ballroom in their hometown of NYC (on April 20, of course), the band then heads out to the Midwest and Rocky Mountain regions for two more weeks on the road.

On March 11, 2016, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real will deliver their heavily-anticipated third album, Something Real, via Royal Potato Family.

Something Real documents the trail blazed by this hard-driving ensemble in its recent past. Most of all, it captures them in all their current glory as songwriters, performers and progenitors of the style they characterize as "cowboy hippie surf rock."

The master improviser and bandleader is busy as ever, nearing an exciting nationwide tour with his new band K I M O C K featuring his son John Morgan Kimock on drums, familiar cohort Bobby Vega on bass, and Leslie Mendelson on vocals and piano.
