Dazzle is thrilled to celebrate Black History Month this February with a series of extraordinary performances from artists we deeply admire. Join us for a month filled with jazz, blues, Motown, and more, showcasing the rich cultural heritage and musical genius of these acclaimed artists.

Thursday, Feb. 1, 6:30 & 9:00 PM
Eddie Henderson: Jazz Trumpet Extraordinaire
Kick off the month with Eddie Henderson, a renowned jazz trumpeter who has played alongside legends like Herbie Hancock, Miles Davis, and Louis Armstrong. Henderson brings a rich history and incredible talent to the stage.

Friday Lunch Bunch with Purnell Steen and the Five Points Ambassadors
Enjoy the jazz and blues of Denver's iconic Five Points neighborhood. This regular band at Dazzle has performed for numerous dignitaries and boasts a lineup including Purnell Steen, Ed Stephen, Ron Bland, Vohn Regensburger, and Bill Larson.

3MoMezzos: A Motown Valentine’s Day Concert
Experience a powerful performance by 3MoMezzos, featuring award-winning actresses and singers Natalie Oliver-Atherton, Shandra Crayton-Artis, and Rajdulari. A musical journey through your favorite love songs from Motown and beyond.

Wil Alston: “Spirituals According to Jazz”
Wil Alston and his band, featuring Daniel Moran, Derek Woodbury, Skip Lynch, Chris Hansen, and Steve Shurack, offer jazz-based interpretations of sacred Negro spirituals, infusing them with hope, struggle, and faith.

King of Beats: A Tribute to J Dilla by Manycolors
ManyColors pays homage to J Dilla with a unique blend of jazz, soul-hop, and lo-fi sounds. The lineup includes Brant Williams, Eric Luba, Kirwan Brown, and Braxton Kahn.

Purnell Steen & The Five Points Ambassadors: Celebrating Black History
A special performance celebrating the Jazz and Blues music of Denver's Five Points neighborhood. The ensemble features Purnell Steen, Myra Warren, Ed Stephen, Vohn Regensburger, Derek Banach, Max Wagner, Ron Bland, and Bill Larson.

Live at Jack's Entertainment Presents: Bigpocket Tribute to Luther Vandross
BigPocket Band honors Luther Vandross, "The Velvet Voice," performing his treasured hits. The evening features Devon Blake Jones, Olivia Whittington, and Cha Rel Wright.

Artists in Residence: The Ken Walker Sextet
The Ken Walker Sextet brings a mix of jazz standards, post bop tunes, and original compositions, inspired by Eddie Harris. The sextet includes Ken Walker, Paul Romaine, Dave Corbus, TBA on piano, Brad Goode, and Peter Sommer.

Saturday, Feb. 24, 6:00 & 9:00 PM
Artists in Residence: Same Cloth
Same Cloth, a Denver-based band led by JoFoKe, blends diverse traditions of Black American Music. The lineup includes JoFoKe, Solomon Chapman, Will Gaines, Callum Bair, James Tré, and Matt Campbell.
