Today the team at Bonfire Entertainment and promoters of the WinterWonderGrass Music & Brew Festival have announced the postponement of the annual Colorado festival in Steamboat Springs. The decision comes amidst the need to take abundant precautionary measures due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

For 2022, limited WinterWonderGrass pre sale tickets will go on sale this winter, which will include access to an intimate celebration once public gatherings are back in the mainstream.

“The partnership between WinterWonderGrass and Steamboat Ski Resort has been and will continue to be a benefit to our entire community,” shared Rob Perlman, President/COO Steamboat Resort. “While it is disappointing to have to postpone this year’s event; given the circumstances, we are hopeful that WWG fans understand this difficult decision and we can all look forward to 2022 and beyond.”

WinterWonderGrass is excited to share its 2022 dates, to be held at Steamboat Resort. Those dates are February 25-27, 2022.

“The health and wellness of our community will always be the driving force behind any decision we make, and although we all need our musical medicine more than ever, we have received no indication that large gatherings in Colorado will be approved by this February,” shared Scotty Stoughton, festival founder. “We are working in conjunction with our partners at Steamboat Resort and the local community at large to be ready to produce a smaller event if the opportunity to safely gather opens up. By making this call, we can continue to dive into other musical business possibilities that keep the team working, the creativity flowing and the lights on. Don’t worry, we plan to be in Steamboat for a very very long time!”

And while the tentpole festival will not be happening, there has been quite a bit of movement at Bonfire Entertainment HQ. The team, immediately following the postponement of the 2020 WWG Tahoe festival, got to work and expanded out deeper into the wilderness with the announcement of the RiverWonderGrass Expedition series, a multi-day, fully-immersive raft trip through Dinosaur National Monument in partnership with Adrift Dinosaur.

Additionally, WinterWonderGrass will be airing Episode 4 of its WWG TV series this fall, is co-presenting a Colorado Wildfire Relief Benefit concert featuring Andy Thorn, Jeremy Garrett, Tyler Grant and Adrian Engfer at the Mishawaka Amphitheater on Friday, November 13, is supporting the annual Friends of the Yampa Benefit on November 21 in Steamboat and has already announced and gone on sale with its 2021 RiverWonderGrass series, that will feature members of the California Honeydrops, Andy Thorn, Daniel Rodriguez, Lindsay Lou, Bridget Law and more.
