Grateful Web recently had an opportunity to speak to guitarist, composer and bandleader, Charlie Hunter.

GW: This is Dylan Muhlberg of Grateful Web here with jazz guitarist Charlie Hunter. We’re gonna catch up with him about his influences, his projects and what he’s got going on right now. Thank you so much for joining us Charlie.

CH: Thank you for having me.

GW: What were your musical influences from childhood?

With his 2011 label debut hailed by No Depression as "perfect" and by American Songwriter as "brilliant," singer-songwriter/rock ’n’ roll musician Brian Wright will unveil his new album, the highly anticipated Rattle Their Chains, on Sept. 10.

After selling out their Phish After Party at the Tonic Room in Chicago, IL on Saturday, July 20th more than a month in advance, Kung Fu has added a second show at the same venue on the following night.

Stomp your feet, clap your hands, and raise a glass because Fruition are releasing Just One of Them Nights on July 30^th, 2013. Featuring three-part harmonies and driving rhythms that blend raw, live energy with traditional Folk-Americana strings, Just One of Them Nights is a rockin’ collection of songs capturing life on the road, memories of past lovers and the pursuit of adventure.

Portland Oregon-based Shook Twins enter June with a completed recording project, successfully funded Kickstarter, vinyl release, and announcement of their upcoming full summer festival season calendar. In May the group headed into the studio with Grammy nominated producer Ryan Hadlock (The Lumineers, Milo Greene) and in concert launched a successfully fan supported Kickstarter campaign to fund the project.

Electric Forest - returning to the Double JJ Ranch in Rothbury, Michigan on June 27- June 30 - is just two weeks away. The festival recently released the 2013 Stage Schedule and just today published this year's Electric Forest Festival Map [link], revealing an expanded Sherwood Forest and Sherwood Forest Stage, and the brand new Observatory stage.
