The 2014 John Hartford Memorial Festival (JHMF) Songwriting Contest has begun accepting entries, marking the start of its second year inspiring songwriters to go where they haven’t gone before. The songwriting contest is a little different than most, as it takes part in ensuring the legacy of John Hartford continues and thrives. Contest winners are awarded with a main stage performance and free 3-day festival ticket.Many great songwriters have come and gone, but few have been groundbreaking trendsetters.

X Games MUSIC returns to downtown Aspen’s Wagner Park this weekend with four globally recognized musical guests performing as part of the X Games Aspen 2014 event. AURA Music & Arts Festival will have its first official on-site pre-party in its 5-year history in February. Kicking things off Thursday, Feb. 13, fans are invited to get settled at The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park (SOSMP) a night early and enjoy music from three of Florida’s finest bands in the scene - The Heavy Pets, Greenhouse Lounge and The Funky Nuggets.
