Marty O’Reilly & the Old Soul Orchestra have been building a dedicated following in the Bay Area through the word-of-mouth surrounding their live shows. This 4-piece from Santa Cruz fuse their Americana Roots background into a wholly progressive sound, taking their music into territory you would never expect from a resonator guitar, violin, upright bass, and drum kit.

Check out the new video from Joel Harrison, whom The New York Times has called “protean” and “brilliant.” The song gives a lyrical nod to Robert Hunter writing "Stella Blue" at the Chelsea, along with many of the hotel's other notorious rock & roll denizens, and musically it channels the feel of the Dead's "Mississippi Half-Step."

The fifth annual ‘Our Neighbors, Ourselves’ art gallery and fundraiser takes place on Friday, September 22nd at the McNichols Building in Civic Center Park. The gallery experience will feature artwork from dozens of visual artists, as well as live musical performances by Tom Hagerman (of DeVotchKa) Ensemble, Bluebook, and DJ sets by Jonny DeStefano and Christy Thacker.
