One of the biggest parties in Santa Barbara history took place for more than twelve hours on Sunday, February 25. The marathon concert and fair took place at Ursula and Patrick Nesbitt’s pristine Bella Vista Ranch and Polo Club in Summerland, a town just to the south of Montecito, California. The event was organized to thank first responders for their efforts to save local communities from the disastrous Thomas fire and accompanying mudslides.

The city of Oakland has an extensive pedigree of rappers to begin their career within its borders. From E-40 to Del the Funky Homosapien, the East Bay has long since held their rap community to nothing but the highest of standards. For Oakland native G-Eazy, his first show home since releasing his latest album was deeply personal, and an experience he repeatedly told the audience was the best night of his life.

Borgo announces the upcoming release of his debut full-length, Be Kind. Set for release April 13, 2018, the album matches soulful vocals with sweet harmonies reminiscent of Motown. Based in Denver, this is Borgo’s return to music following a decade-long hiatus due to a debilitating neurological disease. The album tells stories of love lost, breaking societal norms, and reflecting on life through jazz piano ballads and funk-infused guitar tracks that take listeners back in time.
