March 2020

Festival producer Danny Wimmer Presents has released the following update about their 2020 music festivals:

There are no pre-existing guidelines for what festivals should be doing during this unprecedented time.  Like the rest of the music industry, we continue to assess new information and make the best-educated decisions possible.  We know you have been anxious for updates from us and we are at a point where we can answer many of your questions about how each of our festivals may be affected by COVID-19.

On May 15th, the band Hawk, led by the American artist David Hawkins, will release its highly-anticipated new album, Fly, featuring the all-star lineup of Pete Thomas (Elvis Costello, Johnny Cash, Elliot Smith) on drums, Ken Stringfellow (The Posies, R.E.M., Big Star) on bass, vocals, keyboards, synths and guitar, keyboardist Morgan Fisher (Mott the Hoople, Queen, Yoko Ono) and Hawk and Be guitarist Aaron Bakker. Hawkins, also leader of the orchestral folk-rock band Be, is an acclaimed abstract painter and co-founder of the avant-garde ‘happening’ group The Black Mountain Collective.

BMG recording artist Devon Allman of the Allman Betts Band is going to go "on tour" from his house! Since bands can’t go city to city during these difficult and separated times, Allman will change themes from show to show to keep it unique. “One night will be cover songs, one night originals, one night Q&A live, one night special guests, one night request hour, etc” said Allman.
