As in years past, Blue Élan Records is featuring holiday music just in time for the upcoming Christmas season in partnership with the Alliance for Children's Rights.  Released today, A Blue Élan Christmas: Volume 2 will bring awareness to a shared vision in which all children have safe permanent families with the support they need to thrive.

Last Thursday marked the first show of the first Orebolo tour ever. Orebolo is an acoustic side project for three members of the upcoming and coming Connecticut based jam band, Goose. The concept came about during the covid-19 pandemic when Rick Mitarotonda (guitar), Peter Anspach (guitar, keyboards) and Jeff Arevalo (percussion) were stuck living together under one roof. They did what any talented quarentining musicians should do: live streams.

Today, San Diego 10-piece powerhouse The Sully Band has unveiled their new single “When The Battle Is Over.” This hidden Dr. John-penned gem was originally recorded as a one-sided boast by Delaney & Bonnie, and later by Aretha Franklin. The Sully Band gives the song a fun and funky update, flipping the tune into a rollicking duet between Sully and the soulful Rebecca Jade (Sheila E., Elton John, Dave Koz).

Chris Stapleton was joined by H.E.R. to perform Donny Hathaway’s classic “This Christmas” on last night’s “The 99th Annual National Christmas Tree Lighting” on CBS. Watch the full performance HERE.

Singer/songwriter Noah Guthrie has released his new single “Only Light I Need” ahead of his forthcoming album Blue Wall, due out January 14, 2022.
