My Morning Jacket has unveiled plans for an upcoming US headline tour. The dates begin April 19 at Memphis, TN’s Orpheum Theatre and then continue through September. Special guests throughout the tour will include Madison Cunningham, Indigo de Souza, and Joy Oladokun.  

Not content to rest on laurels like last year’s summer #1 for “California” and an autumn CMT.com feature for their “Irons In The Fire” video, the swiftly emerging bluegrass quintet Unspoken Tradition makes a fast break for 2022 with the release of “Lookout Mountain,” a tuneful reflection on the consequences of profit-driven development for traditional communities.

Sammi Garett releases her first single, "With You", from her forthcoming solo EP, Sweet Tooth. Sammi became synonymous with the color pink after nearly ten years as a vocalist for the Brooklyn based funk group, Turkuaz. She describes 2021 as a crazy year full of ups and downs. On the highs, Turkuaz was touring with Jerry Harrison and Adrian Belew to celebrate the 40th anniversary release of Talking Heads’ album “Remain in Light”, and Sammi announced her engagement to her creative partner, bandmate and soulmate, Greg Sanderson.

Fronted by powerhouse vocalist/songwriter/guitarist Lily Vakili, Vakili Band will release Walking Sideways on February 25, 2022. The New Jersey-based band’s musical touchstones include Patti Smith, Joan Jett, and Brandi Carlile – with a smattering of Bruce Springsteen’s “Born to Run” liberation, David Bowie’s chameleon-like “Changes” and the New York Dolls’ attitude thrown in for good measure.

San Francisco-based psychedelic soul group Moonalice is set to release their latest studio EP, ‘Full Moonalice Vol. 1’, on the high holy day of April 20. The six song record is the group’s label debut on Nettwerk and features the previously released single “Woo Woo” and an extended version of the band's first single, “Time Has Come Today.” ‘Full Moonalice Vol.

Folksinger Michael Johnathon along with his faithful worldwide WoodSongs Old Time Radio Hour community have announced distribution dates of March 18 & 19 in Western Kentucky for the WoodSongs Tornado Relief Effort (WoodSongs.com/Tornado). The program was called-into-action by Johnathon on December 14th in a YouTube video where he called upon anyone anywhere to donate musical instruments to replace those lost during the tornadoes throughout regions surrounding Western Kentucky.
