Maryland jam funk quartet Pigeons Playing Ping Pong debut a never-before-heard single from their forthcoming studio project, Perspective. “Elephante,” an infectious dance groove, is the first single off of the album set for release on April 8th. Combining PPPP’s signature catchy songwriting and flair for jocularity, the hard-hitting groove features a jumbo horn line from Nashville funk collective Here Come The Mummies, who previously appeared on PPPP’s 2020 single “King Kong.”

Since first emerging in 2004, founder, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Zion Rock Godchaux has been quietly seasoning and simmering this recipe to perfection. However, it reaches a boiling point on his 2018 album, Western Voodoo.

At the same time, the Muscle Shoals, AL native stays true to what attracted countless fans in the first place.

The Greyboy Allstars have announced the April 1st release of Get a Job: Music from the Original Broadcast Series Soul Dream—the sixth studio recording to date by the quintet comprised by Karl Denson (saxophone, flute), Elgin Park (guitars), Aaron Redfield (drums), Chris Stillwell (bass) and Robert Walter (keys). To be issued via the band's own imprint, Knowledge Room Recordings, the album was captured live in the studio during The Greyboy Allstars' 2021 Soul Dream live-stream series on Nugs.net.
