Hailing all the way from Saint-Étienne, France, Dub Inc has found a way to transcend the language barrier and garner a passionate fanbase more than 5,000 miles from home. Their onstage passion and chemistry are informed by decades of knowing each other as bandmates and friends, the energy in their live shows are impressive by any standards.

Providing an anchor of stability and a backbone behind the rhythm, bassist Keith Moseley of The String Cheese Incident is no stranger to the blending eclectic sounds and unifying them within the musical soundscape. Pioneering one of Colorado’s most influential jam bands, Keith has been the steady driving force behind the successful 25+ year career of SCI.

The Cruel World Festival brought nearly 100,000 fans of 80’s New Wave, Punk, early EDM, and experimental music to the Brookside Golf course at the Pasadena Rose Bowl on May 14th and 15th. Although the lineup was identical for both days of the festival, many hard-core fans attended both days to try and catch most of the 26 bands performing on three stages. Goldenvoice, the gatekeeper of the most successful music festival globally, Coachella, has created a template for niche festivals at the Rose Bowl site.

Last weekend, at the Harvard Athletic Complex, was the Boston Calling 2020 festival. Oops, I mean Boston Calling 2021. Ok, let’s try that again. Last weekend was the 2022 edition of the Boston Calling festival. Like so many other events, this festival has been twice delayed since 2020, but this Memorial Day weekend, crowds finally descended upon the grounds of Harvard for a weekend of great music.

On June 11, 2022 The Metro Film and Arts Foundation, with support from the J & J Arts Initiative, is presenting an evening of music, dance, theatre, poetry, comedy and animation arts with Breaking Down Walls: Celebrating Our Shared Humanity Through the Arts at The Cowell Theater in Fort Mason, San Francisco. The Breaking Down Walls project showcases how the performing arts can create common ground for recognition and celebration of our shared humanity.
