For over a decade, Colorado-based jam quartet Magic Beans have built a loyal nationwide following nationwide through incredible songwriting and a steady creative output. Unzipped, the band’s forthcoming LP, is an invigorating leap down a musical path untraveled for the hard-touring musicians. Known for engaging performances defined by extensive melodic exploration and polyphonic harmony, the Beans' newest project showcases adept musicianship through crisp, concise production.

The 2022 Smithsonian Folklife Festival, returning to the National Mall June 22–27 and June 30–July 4 after a two-year hiatus, will present free performances by musicians steeped in traditions that span the globe. After daytime activities wrap at 6 p.m., the festival transforms into a lively music venue and outdoor movie theater. These events are free and open to the public and will be presented on the Ralph Rinzler Main Stage located on the National Mall between Seventh Street and 12th Street.

Mississippi Son, the new Alligator Records album from Mississippi-born, Memphis-raised, Grammy Award-winning blues legend Charlie Musselwhite, was released today, June 3, 2022, on both CD and translucent blue vinyl LP. To celebrate, Musselwhite has released a recently-filmed video of a live solo acoustic performance of his original composition Blues Up The River from the new album. The legendary Reggae musician, Clinton Fearon’s newest full length album, Breaking News, was written in just a few months during the COVID-19 pandemic. During this time, Clinton Fearon was staying at home with his wife and together they created and broadcasted a livestreaming series which helped them to stay connected with the outside world. These moments were emotional bright lights for Clinton and his wife throughout the pandemic and inspired Clinton to stay positive.

After previously announcing their phase one music lineup in 2021, Northern Nights Music Festival has shared their phase two lineup for their return to California’s iconic Redwood Forest from July 15-17, 2022. Taking place at Cook’s Valley Campground in Piercy, CA on the Humboldt / Mendocino border, the festival has built its name based on a taste-making mix of cutting edge music, industry-leading cannabis programming, and serene natural landscapes.
