August 2022

August 18-21 is the 13th season of The Hudson Valley Jazz Festival. This 4 day series places many area musicians alongside top names in jazz.  From Port Chester to New Paltz to Sugar Loaf to Acord to Warwick to Woodstock to Port Jervis to Greenwood Lake to Kingston.

Cleveland Ohio is home to many things rock n’ roll thanks to the presence of The Rock N Roll Hall of Fame.  Neighboring Kirtland Ohio is home to the area’s largest summer festival: Wonderstruck.

It was finally the official opening day (day two for us) for Bonnaroo 2022 on June 16 for the first time in three years. Although the festivities began in the campground two days earlier, the official festival didn’t start until Centeroo threw open its doors shortly after noon. Hot, sweaty temperatures sent many music fans straight to shady areas like trees, the iconic Centeroo water fountain, and the water park complete with white sand beaches.

A trio of East Coast artists brought the jams to the Vina Robles Amphitheatre in Paso Robles, California, on a beautiful summer Tuesday, July 19th. Fans arrived early to picnic on the lawn in the back of the venue, enjoy food vendors with sumptuous offerings like wood-fired pizza and imbibe beverages from a vast selection of regional beer and wine.

Veteran songwriter and all-around Americana renaissance man Jim Lauderdale has a special knack for turning just about any situation into a toe-tapping, stuck-in-your-head country tune. With his new single “Friends Again,” Lauderdale puts to tape the grateful feeling of reconnecting with a lost confidant—just in time for National Friendship Day on August 7th. “This song is a celebration of that wonderful time of reconciliation between people who were once close and can rekindle that bond between them,” says Lauderdale.
