97.3 KBCO will release 18 new songs exclusively performed live on the air in the station’s performance studio, KBCO Studio C.  KBCO Studio C Volume 34 will go on sale starting at 7am, December 3rd at five select Front Range Colorado Whole Foods Market locations.

The Surf Hotel announces it will host the legendary Melvin Seals & JGB for a two-night run, on December 9th & 10th. This will be the band’s debut performance in the Ivy Ballroom.

Nicholas Jamerson has confirmed the release of his 6th studio album, Peace Mountain, arriving May 19, 2023. Today, the Kentucky-based troubadour is proud to share the title track, “Peace Mountain,” written with fellow Kentuckian Don Rogers and performed with West Virginian stalwart Charles Wesley Godwin. Whiskey Riff premiered the single yesterday, stating that “the best country music is coming from the heart of Appalachia right now.”

Greensky Bluegrass swept through Eugene’s McDonald Theatre for a night of fall-tastic bluegrass. The essence of the evening illuminated the transition of the seasons, from the epic lyrical storytelling, to the graceful auditory buildups.

On Friday, November 11th, Memphis-based GRAMMY nominee Southern Avenue will release their rendition of the 1983 Genesis classic, “That’s All.” The now 6-piece blues-soul act lays out their funky, groovy imprint of the track that will be come out via Color Red, record label and music platform founded by Eddie Roberts of The New Mastersounds.

Alabama co-founder, Jeff Cook, has passed away at age 73, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 2012. Along with cousins Randy Owen and Teddy Gentry, he co-founded the band Wild Country in 1972, which became Alabama in 1977. Cook contributed lead guitar, vocals, fiddle and keyboard to the group’s productions, which rose to prominence in the late 1970s and ‘80s with a string of hits. In addition to his performance work, Cook founded Cook Sound Studios, Inc. in Fort Payne and established WQRX-AM in Valley Head, AL.
