The Underground Music Showcase (UMS), Denver's largest, multi-day music festival, returns to South Broadway Friday, July 28 through Sunday, July 30. UMS 2023 will feature more than 700 discovery artists from Colorado, the Rocky Mountain region, and national headliner acts, drawing over 10,000 music lovers each day of the fest. Michael Winters, former Operations & House Manager of The Capitol Theatre and a crucial figure of the New York live music scene passed away 5 years ago on July 1, 2018. To commemorate his life and legacy, a tribute concert will be held at Garcia's at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at 4:20PM a day before what would have been his 57th birthday.

Larry Rivera, a legendary fixture of Kauai, Hawaii whose career spanned over seven decades and who worked alongside Elvis Presley in ‘Blue Hawaii’ has passed away at the age of 92. Also known as “Mr. Coco Palms,” Rivera was a key fixture of Kauai’s entertainment culture where he started his career in the 50s and performed at the famed Coco Palms Resort until it closed.

Sunny War will release her New West Records debut Anarchist Gospel tomorrow via New West Records. The 14-song set was produced by Andrija Tokic (Alabama Shakes, Hurray for the Riff Raff) and features appearances by Jim James of My Morning Jacket, Allison Russell, David Rawlings, Jack Lawrence of the Raconteurs, Micah Nelson, John James Tourville of The Deslondes, Kyshona Armstrong, Dennis Crouch, and more. All songs were written by Sunny War with the exception of “Baby Bitch” (Ween) and “Hopeless” (Van Hunt).
