The 29th annual International Festival of Arts & Ideas (IFAI), recently featured in the New York Times, is excited to announce its summer line-up to take festival-goers on an unforgettable journey from tonight through June 29.

“We are excited to offer more than 150 events this year - 85 percent of which are free to the public - which include a curated series of plays, films, exhibitions, food events, tours, talks and world-class musicians,” said Shelley Quiala, Executive Director of IFAI.

Today, multi-platinum singer-songwriter and mental health pioneer Jewel announced her new EP, The Portal: A Meditative Journey, the musical extension of her immersive art experience The Portal: An Art Experience by Jewel, which is now open to the public through July 28 at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Arkansas. The Portal: A Meditative Journey is due out July 12 and will bring the songs and soundscapes featured throughout the exhibit to listeners all over the world.

The Northern California-based quartet—Lee (mandolin), Sullivan Tuttle (guitar), Scott Gates (guitar), and Jan Purat (fiddle)—have dedicated their time to making music solely for the joy of making it, and the results are as pure as the process itself.
