Spring is on the horizon, and with it comes the excitement of the 53rd Annual Kerrville Folk Festival at Quiet Valley Ranch, just outside of Kerrville, Texas. From May 22 through June 8, 2025, the festival grounds will transform into an unparalleled community of music lovers and songwriters, continuing a legacy as the longest consecutively running music festival in the country.
For 18 magical days, attendees will enjoy performances from over 100 acts, including headliners Shovels & Rope, Adeem the Artist, Hayes Carll, Carsie Blanton, The Secret Sisters, Dave Alvin & Jimmie Dale Gilmore, BettySoo, The Band of Heathens, Mia Borders, Gabe Lee, Rainbow Girls, Peter Rowan, Yarn, and The Wilder Blue, among others. Weekday shows on the scenic Threadgill Stage will spotlight festival favorites such as Tim Easton, Jenny Reynolds, Fox Run Five, and Steve Fischer, ensuring that music resonates across the ranch every single day.
One of the festival’s most anticipated highlights arrives during the first weekend: the storied Grassy Knoll New Folk Competition for Emerging Songwriters. This revered contest has launched the careers of numerous artists over the past 50 years and remains a favorite among longtime Kerrville attendees.
There are multiple ticket options available, from full 18-day festival passes (with or without camping) to weekend-only and day passes. With such flexible offerings, there’s a way for everyone—casual fans and die-hard music enthusiasts alike—to experience this one-of-a-kind gathering.
