Today, indie/folk singer-songwriter Wryn (they/them) releases “Only Thing,” the final single from their forthcoming album, Shapes, set for release on March 28 via Righteous Babe Records. The album, available for pre-order now on vinyl, CD, and digital formats, embodies Wryn’s personal evolution, showcasing a refreshed sonic landscape and deep introspective themes.
“Only Thing” is an earnest yet lightly anxious love song about embracing the art of letting go. "Life is always shifting and evolving," Wryn shares. "And that's a good thing. Change can be beautiful. At some point, you just have to laugh."
The accompanying music video reflects the track’s humorous undertones. Wryn elaborates, “It’s about those moments when life spirals into absurdity—you can’t help but roll with the punches. Sometimes, laughter is your only choice.” Directed with a playful eye, the video captures the whimsical absurdity of life's unpredictable moments.
Ahead of the album release, Wryn will offer a special hometown preview performance in Carpenteria, CA, on Saturday, March 22. Shortly thereafter, they will hit the road supporting iconic singer-songwriter and Righteous Babe Records founder Ani DiFranco on her nearly sold-out "Unprecedented" Tour, kicking off April 7 in Milwaukee.
