Just prior to the 2020 shutdown, 10-time IBMA award winning fiddler/singer/songwriter Becky Buller and Grammy winning singer/songwriter Aoife O'Donovan collaborated to create this air of wistful longing for mental, emotional and spiritual rest. “Jubilee”   fell into the dark dearth of the pandemic years, laying dormant until the FreshGrass Foundation commissioned Becky to write a performance piece for debut at their 2023 Bentonville, AR, festival. This song is the seed that bloomed into an entire song cycle of the same name, which chronicles Becky's lifelong struggle with acute depression and anxiety.

The album “Jubilee” is set for a May 2024 release from Dark Shadow Recording.

This single, along with the entire project, was recorded in a day and a half, live, in one room save harmony vocals. By tracking in this classical style, the song cycle was allowed to exist in its natural form, each player reliant on one another with no safety net.

“Jubilee” gives Becky’s exquisite band a chance to showcase the full breadth of their talent, delivering a Bluegrass sonic footprint, while pushing beyond boundaries.
