The 2024 daily schedule has been released for Borderland, Western New York’s premier music festival, held at the historic Knox Farm State Park in East Aurora, NY. Less than 20 miles south of Buffalo, this sixth annual event will feature three days of internationally-acclaimed music, regional artisans, and locally-curated food and drink. The picturesque Knox Farm stables set the backdrop for over 25 bands performing across two stages throughout the weekend.
The festival kicks off on Friday, September 13th, headlined by rock legends The Black Crowes, alongside big-band extraordinaire Cory Wong, Canada’s beloved The Sheepdogs, and rising star Daniel Donato and the Cosmic Country, all performing on the main stage.
On Saturday, the festival continues with funky grooves from The Dip, award-winning bluegrass artist Sierra Hull, as well as performances by Houndmouth and The Wood Brothers. Closing out the night are indie-folk rising stars Caamp, making their debut performance in Buffalo.
The weekend culminates on Sunday with an impressive lineup, including reggae legends The Wailers and southern rocker Marcus King. The weekend will close with a special performance by Dark Star Orchestra, recreating one of the most famous Grateful Dead shows in history—Buffalo’s War Memorial Auditorium, May 8th, 1977.
In addition to the national acts, Borderland Festival will showcase Western New York’s vibrant local music scene, with performances by Handsome Jack, Annie In The Water, Folkfaces Tribute to John Prine, Uncle Ben’s Remedy, Big Martha: An Allman Brothers Experience, Fuzzy & The Rustbelts, Borderland Dead All-Stars, Buffalo Brass Machine, and Buffalo Music Club’s “Borderland Band Camp”.
The festival also features a dedicated kids’ area, and children 10 and under are free with an adult.
