Rising British country artist Brook Ellingworth has released his new single, “Truck Stop,” offering a glimpse of his highly anticipated debut album, Roll The Dice, set for release on February 28, 2025. The single, “Truck Stop,” is available now on all streaming platforms.

“Truck Stop” tells the story of a boy trying to change a girl’s mind, urging her to make a “truck stop” and reconsider her LA-bound journey. With a heavy guitar lead and crying pedal steel, the song’s production and structure elevate it to a deeply personal ballad, setting the tone for the rest of the album.

“This was my first co-write in Nashville, a love story I created with Greg Crowe,” Ellingworth shares. “The song is about a boy deeply in love with a girl chasing her dreams. Rather than following the usual male-to-female perspective, we wanted to capture the depth of his heartbreak and longing for her return. So, instead of singing to her directly, I chose to sing to the truck she left town in, making it a more unique and emotional take on the story.”

“Truck Stop” features a rich blend of instruments, with Aaron Currie on electric guitar, Justin Weaver on acoustic guitar, Robert Blair handling drums and percussion, Chris Autry on bass guitar, Dane Bryant on keyboards, Hammond organ, piano, and synths, Andrew Ellison contributing pedal steel, slide guitar, and resonator guitar, and George Huxtable and Nick Reiber-Hodgson providing backing vocals.

Featuring 10 tracks, Roll The Dice reflects raw emotions and life experiences, exploring themes of love, lust, loss, taking chances, and embracing life’s journey. Ellingworth collaborated with his friend and producer Jake Burns at Curb Studios in Nashville.

Ellingworth is swiftly making his mark in the music world with heartfelt lyrics, infectious melodies, and hooks that captivate from the very first listen. Hailing from a small town outside Oxford, England, the 25-year-old artist blends his roots in country and rock ’n’ roll to create songs that resonate deeply with his audience.

Ellingworth’s musical journey began early. Picking up the guitar and writing songs as a teenager, he always had his sights set on the stage. His first performance at age 11 sparked a relentless drive to pursue his passion. By 20, he took a pivotal trip to Nashville, Tennessee. It was there, after leaving university, that Ellingworth found his true calling as a country artist, returning to the sound and style that had shaped him.

Since then, Ellingworth has built a strong presence in both the UK and US. From sharing the stage with hit songwriters in Nashville to opening for Grady Spencer & The Works at Hernando’s Hideaway in Memphis and supporting Rob Baird at Farm Fest in Arkansas, Ellingworth’s talent and determination have earned him a loyal following. His Austin debut at Shiners Saloon and regular performances in Oxford, London, and across the UK—both solo and with his band—make every show an unforgettable experience.

“Truck Stop” follows Ellingworth’s self-penned debut single, “Like It Was The First Time,” a song capturing the nostalgia of a love story and yearning for it to feel as fresh as it did at the start. Watch Ellingworth’s acoustic performance of “Like It Was The First Time” on RGB Sessions.

As an independent artist, Ellingworth made a striking debut with his EP Dive Bars & Heartbreaks, released in January 2023. This launch was celebrated with a sold-out performance at Oxford’s iconic Jericho Tavern, an unforgettable night that firmly established his presence in country music.

With plans for 2025 already in motion, including new releases recorded at Curb Studios in Nashville, Ellingworth is poised for an exciting year ahead, bringing a bigger sound and even more powerful songs to his growing fanbase.
