Minneapolis-based psychedelic bluegrass band Buffalo Galaxy is proud to announce the release of their first live album, “Don’t Pet the Fluffy Cows - Live: Volume One,” available March 14, 2025. This new collection captures the raw energy and wide-ranging musical influences of the band’s performances across the American West in the summer and fall of 2023.
Spanning recordings from Colorado, Montana, and South Dakota, “Don’t Pet the Fluffy Cows - Live: Volume One” weaves together a vibrant tapestry of original songs and beloved covers. Among the standout tracks are a fast-picking take on Ralph Stanley’s “Little Maggie,” Jeff Austin’s driving “Steep Grades, Sharp Curves,” and the band’s own crowd-favorites “Pieces,” “Darker Now,” and “Blank Check and a Bible.”
