Global Latin music superstar Carín León is teaming up with Colombian star Carlos Vives and Dominican rapper Chimbala on the new song “La Chancleta,” venturing into Caribbean tropicality—listen/share HERE and watch/share the accompanying music video HERE.

In the single, the flip-flop—or “La Chancleta”—becomes the guiding thread of this story of overcoming heartbreak where there is no time for sorrow, but rather for enjoying life.

Composed by León, Vives, Chimbala, Santiago de Jesús and Geraldy Reyez Volquez, the track was produced by Bryan Peguero (B-One) and Andrés Leal, with the video directed by Jessy Terrero.

“It was like being on a movie set for a Western, Carín Eastwood and Chimbala Wayne,” details Vives.

Next week, León embarks on his much-anticipated headline Boca Chueca Tour 2024 in support of his latest album, Boca Chueca Vol. 1. With stops in 25 cities across North America and Europe, the tour includes a landmark performance at New York City’s Madison Square Garden as well as stops in Chicago, Nashville, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Toronto, Seattle and more. See below for a complete list of dates.

Following the North American dates the tour continues in Europe, with select shows in Madrid, London, Amsterdam and Paris.

“My new album is very special to me because it was created amidst concerts, award shows and being on the road,” says León. “It is an embrace and a reconciliation with aspects that are often considered negative but are also part of me. These demons represent the pressure from people and critics, reflecting who Oscar Armando is as a human being translated into Carín. These songs capture important feelings of what I am experiencing. The cover reflects my essence and the transformation in this album, connected to my less gentle side.”

Boca Chueca Vol. 1 is the follow up to the hugely successful Colmillo de leche, which reached #8 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart last year with three tracks reaching #1 on Billboard's Regional Mexican chart.

León recently received a People’s Choice Country Award nomination for his collaboration with country star Kane Brown on “The One (Pero No Como Yo).”
