The 8th Annual Suwannee Roots Revival takes place Thursday, October 10 - Sunday, October 13 at the renowned Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park (SOSMP) in Live Oak, Florida, and continues to foster the longtime tradition of hosting some of the most prominent names in American roots music and beyond. This family-friendly camping festival includes four days of music and dance, along with yoga, music workshops, a Kids Tent, and more.

Nestled in 800 acres of gorgeous Spanish moss-draped oak and cypress trees along the Suwannee River in northern Florida, Suwannee Roots Revival celebrates community-based fun, growing friendships, laughing families, and joy you get from making memories with friends old and new.

Suwannee Roots Revival is thrilled to announce the daily schedules, as well as unveiling a new area! Over the course of 4 days there will be music across four stages including Big Cosmo’s Amphitheater, the NEW Music Farmers Stage at The Porch and The Back Porch, Music Hall, and The Tent.

Suwannee Roots Revival focuses on showcasing established and emerging roots musicians throughout the weekend. Get ready for some one-of-a-kind collaborations among the artists performing—you never know who will give a surprise sit-in on stage (or in the campgrounds for that matter). There is an open call to play in the many campground pickin’ party sites throughout the weekend including at Slopryland, hosted by Sloppy Joe and the Bill Monroe Shrine, hosted by Quartermoon.

THURSDAY on Big Cosmo’s Amphitheater:
Yonder Mountain String Band headlines the late-nite set (10pm-12am) after the first of many performances through the entire weekend by Donna the Buffalo. Walter Parks & the Unlawful Assembly performs at the top of the evening. The festival kickoff kicks off with Big Cosmo’s Celebration of Life and a performance by Big Cosmo’s Band to honor festival co-founder, Randy Judy, who passed away this spring.

FRIDAY on Big Cosmo’s Amphitheater:
Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway headlines from 9-11pm, followed by a late-nite set with Peter Rowan Walls of Time Band with Don Grant Reggaebilly. Other Friday mainstage performers include Jim Lauderdale & The Game Changers, Paul McDonald & The Mourning Doves, Della Mae, Kaleta & Super Yamba Band, Blair Crimmins & The Hookers, and Grandpa’s Cough Medicine.

SATURDAY on Big Cosmo’s Amphitheater:
Old Crow Medicine Show is the Saturday headliner (9-11pm), followed by a late night set from Donna the Buffalo. Others on the BCA stage that day include: Peter Rowan & The Walls of Time Band, Jon Stickley Trio, The Ain’t Sisters, Snake Oil Medicine Show, Nikki Talley Band, and The Fried Turkeys

SUNDAY on Big Cosmo’s Amphitheater:
Sunday will always be known as Vassar Sunday in honor of the late and great Vassar Clements who used to frequent the festivities at the park. The day will be filled with festival family favorites including The Mosier Brothers, Henhouse Prowlers, Verlon Thompson, The Lee Boys, and The Moon Tunes, and culminating with Donna the Buffalo's closing family jam, where many special guests will be brought to the stage.

NEW All Weekend on The Music Farmers Stage at The Back Porch:
Exciting changes are coming to enhance your festival experience at Suwannee Roots Revival 2024! The Porch Stage area is being transformed into a multipurpose venue—The Music Farmers Stage at The Back Porch—creating “a VIP section for everyone.”

The Back Porch will be open from the start of the music on Big Cosmo’s Amphitheater until the end of each night's performances, providing plenty of seating options for relaxation, food from delicious vendors nearby, and live video feeds from Big Cosmo’s Amphitheater to ensure you don't miss any of the action. It will have a full bar set up and WildCrafters will be vending nearby with a non-alcoholic bar serving kava, teas, and booze-free craft mocktails.

During the evening changeovers at Big Cosmo’s Amphitheater, special performances by featured artists will take place at The Back Porch. Thursday night will showcase Billy Gilmore and Mickey Abraham with their Grateful Dawg Tribute—the music of David Grisman and Jerry Garcia, while Friday night will feature festival favorite Ralph Roddenbery, and Saturday night will highlight the much-loved Verlon Thompson.

The Music Farmers Stage has moved to now be inside of the former Porch Stage building which is a bigger and more comfortable location for workshop participants. During the day on Friday and Saturday, a number of new and exciting workshops will be presented by some of the festival’s friends and artists.

If that wasn’t exciting enough, The Tent is also moving closer to Vendor Row for added convenience!

The Tent will feature a special set by Sauce Boss with Xtra Sauce and there will also be Yoga with Ronda Bell each morning. Special sets in the Music Hall include Verlon Thopmson & Jim Lauderdale and Woodstock Variations with Walter Parks: Tribute to Richie Havens. Many of the artists performing multiple days have scheduled sets in one or both areas throughout the weekend.

The Music Farmers Stage is sponsored by the festival’s nonprofit arm, Live Oak Music and Arts Foundation (LOMAF). A raffle with a variety of prizes donated by festival merchants, artists, and sponsors will be held on site located at a tent at the top of the hill at Big Cosmo’s Amphitheater. It will benefit LOMAF to support music and arts programs in North Florida schools, including the Suwannee Spirit Kids Music Camp.
