THE DAMN TRUTH was formed by lead vocalist/guitarist Lee-la Baum and lead guitarist/vocalist Tom Shemer who met at a hippie festival near the Sea of Galilee in Israel—both were completely nude--and have been together ever since. The power of their love is a driving force for their 60’s-inspired ethos showcased on Now Or Nowhere. It is a definitive statement about the band, about the times and how everyone navigates life, love and everything else in a world gone seemingly upside down and sideways.
Six of the nine tracks featured on Now Or Nowhere were recorded with Grammy Award-winning legendary producer Bob Rock (Aerosmith, Tragically Hip, Bon Jovi) at Bryan Adams’ The Warehouse Studio in Vancouver until Covid entered the picture. Due to restrictions of the pandemic, the band was forced to return home where they then enlisted a team of A-list engineers to complete the album including Juno Award-winning producer Jeam Massicotte, Grammy Award-winning engineers Vance Powell (Jack White, Chris Stapleton) and Nick DiDia (Bruce Springsteen) and engineer Mike Plotnikoff (Van Halen, Cranberries).
