Fur Peace Productions is thrilled to announce its much-anticipated 2025 Concert Series at Stuart’s Opera House in Nelsonville, Ohio. After the sale of the Fur Peace Ranch and a long search for just the right new venue, we are delighted to bring world-class music back to Southeast Ohio in a setting that matches the friendly, intimate spirit of our original home. Tickets for all listed shows go on sale on February 18, and we encourage fans to secure their seats early for these unforgettable evenings of live music.
Located an hour from Columbus and a mere 25 minutes from Athens, Stuart’s Opera House is a legendary 145-year-old venue boasting reserved seating options in the orchestra, floor, and balcony sections, as well as a beautifully restored bar on its lower level. The 2025 Concert Series begins on July 6 with a performance by Peter Rowan & the Sam Grisman Project, who will be playing the timeless songs of Old & In The Way and more. On July 18 and 19, Hot Tuna Acoustic returns to the stage for two back-to-back nights of soulful, stripped-down tunes that embody the adventurous spirit of Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady. Then, on September 28, audiences can look forward to the incomparable Suzy Bogguss joining forces with Jorma Kaukonen for an evening of musical magic. All shows begin at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6 p.m.
In addition to these special events at Stuart’s Opera House, Jorma Kaukonen and John Hurlbut are hitting the road this spring and summer to spotlight their new album, One More Lifetime, released by CultureFactory-USA. This record is brimming with heartfelt classics, such as Bob Dylan’s “I’ll Remember You” and Woody Guthrie’s “Pastures of Plenty,” alongside two of Hurlbut’s original compositions, “Day in the Country” and “Lazy Saint.” As Jorma Kaukonen notes, “It is more than exciting – it is the stuff of dreams!” Their journey begins March 22 at Pappy & Harriet’s in Pioneertown, California, followed by a show on March 30 at Belly Up in Solana Beach. They continue in April at The Coach House in San Juan Capistrano on April 1, Stage Red in Fontana on April 2, and two consecutive shows at the iconic Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley on April 4 and 5, before wrapping up the West Coast leg at The Crest Theatre in Sacramento on April 7.
Kaukonen and Hurlbut will also bring One More Lifetime to the East Coast and beyond in June, starting with a performance on June 7 at City Winery in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. They visit The Theater at Innovation Square in Rochester, New York, on June 8 and the Center for the Arts of Homer in Homer, New York, on June 10. The tour then heads to the historic Bearsville Theatre in Woodstock, New York, for two nights, June 13 and 14, followed by The Kate in Old Saybrook, Connecticut, on June 16. Additional dates include Waterville Opera in Waterville, Maine, on June 17, Bellows Falls Opera House in Bellows Falls, Vermont, on June 19, and The Spire Center in Plymouth, Massachusetts, on June 20. The tour culminates on June 22 at The Newton Theatre in Newton, New Jersey, promising an eclectic set that blends Americana classics with the soulful camaraderie that only these two longtime musical partners can deliver.
Fur Peace Productions is honored to partner with such an esteemed venue as Stuart’s Opera House and to present this extraordinary lineup for 2025. We invite music lovers from near and far to join us in Nelsonville for these special concerts, and we look forward to seeing everyone out on the road with Jorma Kaukonen and John Hurlbut.
