Goose announce first arena headlining show for annual "Goosemas" event

The past two years have seen Connecticut rockers Goose grow from a local bar band to a premiere festival headliner who are today announcing their biggest show to date. On December 18, the band will be celebrating their annual “Goosemas” event at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT, marking the eighth iteration of their annual holiday concert, a tradition that began with humble roots in the basement of a Norwalk, CT music studio. This year’s show will see Goose take the stage for three sets, with plenty of surprises in store for fans. Goosemas will be the last show of a highly anticipated, 19-date national fall run, with over half of the tour already sold out.

“We’re so stoked to host Goosemas back home in Connecticut. It has truly been incredible to see how the event has grown over the past few years, and we can’t wait to do it again in front of a live audience,” says guitarist/vocalist Rick Mitarotonda.

The challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic prevented Goose from performing in front of an audience in late 2020. Instead, the band hosted Goosemas on the roof of Rockefeller Center which livestreamed exclusively on Twitch. The universally acclaimed concert drew over 60,000 viewers worldwide, and raised $45,000 for Conscious Alliance and Save Our Stages.

“We are so grateful to everyone who will make plans to travel to Mohegan, this will be our biggest show to date and we couldn't be more stoked!” added guitarist/keyboardist/vocalist Peter Anspach.

Initial tickets will be available through a lottery, with a request period running today Tuesday, August 24th at 12 PM ET through Wednesday, August 25 at 5 PM ET. Winners will be notified before the general on-sale, beginning Friday, August 27 at 10 AM ET.
