An extraordinary treat for Bay Area music lovers is coming to the Great American Music Hall on Sunday June 21st, 2015.
San Francisco rock icons Steve Kimock and Greg Anton founded Zero, the original Bay Area jam band, in the early 1980s. This intimate event will begin with an extended conversation between the two old friends regarding Greg Anton’s acclaimed new novel Face The Music. Read Grateful Web’s interview with Anton regarding his book and a whole lot more here. Face The Music is set in San Francisco, telling the story of a brilliant street musician whose chance for a big break with a record executive is met with betrayal from a close friend regarding authorship of his prized song.
After Kimock and Anton’s deep reading of the novel, a rockin’ acoustic performance is to follow. David Nelson will join the pair on guitar along with multi-instrumentalist Lowell “Banana” Levinger (of the classic folk-rock band The Youngbloods,) bassist Paul Knight, and other special guests. The musical possibilities between these legends are boundless and unpredictable. Join Steve Kimock and Greg Anton, In Conversation, at the Great American Music Hall in downtown San Francisco on Sunday June 21st, 2015 over the summer solstice and Fathers Day.
